Gabrielle Lepage-Lavoie has been living in Saskatchewan over 22 years, originally from Alberta where she was born and raised. Gabrielle graduated with a bilingual degree, in Social sciences, major in Political Science at the University of Alberta, Campus Saint-Jean as well as a Business Administration program at the Université de Sherbrooke. Gabrielle earned a certificate in Project Management from the Schulich School of Business and Edwards School of Business (University of Saskatchewan).
Before taking on the Healthy Start Project Manager position with the Réseau Santé en français de la Saskatchewan, she was the executive director of l’Association des parents fransaskois (Fransaskois Parent Association), a provincial non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting francophone education from preschool to post-secondary.
Gabrielle particularly values working in the early years and in promoting new and innovative ways to encourage families to lead healthy lifestyles. Since 2013, Gabrielle has been managing Healthy Start / Départ Santé, an early years health promotion intervention aimed at increasing physical activity and healthy eating for young children and their families. Healthy Start / Départ Santé is a bilingual interprovincial program developed in Saskatchewan and New Brunswick, in collaboration with multiple community and university stakeholders.
In her spare time Gabrielle volunteers with local committees like the Fédération des Francophones de Saskatoon, the Saskatoon Early Years Partnership. She keeps herself active with yoga, walking, curling and biking.
